Periodontal (Gums)

Prophylaxis cleaning
Remove accumulated deposits on teeth to prevent gum disease. We recommend cleanings with examination of oral hard and soft tissues at least twice yearly and bitewing x-rays of back teeth once yearly.

Deep Scaling and Root Planing
In the event of inflammation and generalized gum pocketing deeper than 3 millimeters, deep scaling in conjunction with anesthesia is required to quell the disease.

Anti-microbial irrigation
Irrigation of the gum tissue during the procedure of deep scaling and root planing kills the bacteria following debridement and starts the healing process.
